THE KIDS ARE NOT ALRIGHT
I fondly remember sitting around and watching cartoons on Saturday morning, so when I saw this submission call, I knew I had to write something for it. They took my short story "The Kids Are Not Alright" which is a wacky 80s horror tale for those who like a little nostalgia in their horror. This is coming out August 31st, 2026, so I'll let you know when pre-orders are available.
WOULD YOU LIKE TO JOIN MY CULT?
This might be my most fun story. Told in a rambling, first-person perspective, the narrator details the goings-ons of a messed up cult house, with a panache and flair truly deserving of the word bizarro. A lot of other cool stories in here as well! Click the cover to buy!
INDIAN CORN
Samhain Screams is a great Halloween-themed horror anthology. I really enjoyed this one. My short story Indian Corn is a modern Indigenous horror tale about a teen out for trouble and attending a Halloween party in the corn. It's one of my favorites, and definitely has 80s movie vibes. Come for my story, but read some of the others because this was a good anthology. Click the cover to buy a copy!
the buffalo woman
I was in the inaugural issue of Plott Hound Magazine, which features stories all about anthropomorphic animals. Mine was an Indigenous tale about a woman who can transform into a humanoid buffalo dealing with the changing of the world around her due to colonization. I might be most proud of this short story. Good horror with some nice storytelling, and best of all, you can check it out for free! Click the magazine cover, and get your read on!
Magic is given
I can count on one hand the things I've published that aren't horror. This is one of those things. It's a hopeful tale for a vegan anthology, which, working in a story without leather and other things, especially in a story with a historical Indigenous setting was quite the challenge. More akin to a fairytale than horror, Magic is Given is definitely an outlier for me. But I'm proud of it, so getchu a copy if you're a Jacy Morris completis!
MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM THE SANDERS
I once received a postcard from some random people, complete with their kids on it and a bunch of pictures. I have no idea who they are, but I wrote this short story with the idea "What if someone accidentally sent a Christmas card to the wrong dude?" It's extreme and violent. MOTHER EARTH AND THE TERRESTRIAL BIRTH
A giant hole opens up underneath Washington D.C. Turns out the Earth is pregnant. And uhh... it gets weirder from there. I read this whole anthology, and it's not for the squeamish. But if you're daring and don't get icked out by our bodies, as you shouldn't, there are some gems in here. Click the cover to buy it!
